Meet Melly The artist, Melissa Marconi, graduated from San Diego State University with a M.F.A. in Creative Writing. As a poet and an illustrator, the artist applies her skills to various genres. Melly has written and illustrated three books for children, Why Should I Go Outside to Play? Stickley Says... and Mr. G. and His Jimmie Jams, and is currently querying publishers regarding the stories. Her illustrations have gained exposure through recent art shows, auctions, and children's boutiques throughout California. The artist lives in San Jose and teaches at Stanford University in the Department of English. |
